Garuda Spiral was originally inspired by a wooden sculpture I saw in San Francisco of the mythological bird from Bali with the same name, Garuda! I changed up the composition and added the shell-like Spiral(s.) I see this almost three hundred pound Italian marble sculpture as ready to take off into flight, in real time and dream time.
